Scrap IIT Scrap Competetion Scrap Future

The panel of IIT Derectors have recommended to scrap IIT and all other competetive level engineering examinations and more importantly they have requested the government to introduce this as fast as possible.!!!!!!!!

Are we moving towards a generation where the competetive quotient of a child will never be challenged?. Admissions to IIT on the basis of Board Marks and an Aptitude test?. How many Board toppers score top ranks in IIT every year?The class of engineering will take a massive decline. Then why not scrap the Pre medical Examination also?. On the basis of Board marks why not give admission to Medical Colleges? if Board examination is equivalent to IIT or AIEEE? Then why was Class X Board Examination made optional.

I do agree with the concept of an Aptitude Test but instead of scrapping Engineering Entrance Examinations they could easily introduce an extra section of Aptitude Test in IIt paper itself. The next round of argument might say that IIT consists of Physics, Chemistry and Maths and during persuing B.Tech a student might not need thorough concepts of Chemistry. In that case only those who wish to appear for the Chemistry paper could do so but why scrap the entire examination? the xeal, the competetive spirit will all die down. Exposure to the highhest level of examination and emerging victorious out of it could actually change the whole outlook and confidence of the student and he carries this throughout his life. We are moving towardsa a time where all barriers are being broken. yes i call it barrier because if they are scrapped then it clealr signifies that they were actually 'crap'. Those people who want it scrapped have actually appeared for these examinations and they know the importance. Yes they are difficult but it is this nature of these examinations that make it so important. In this age of computer where everything is easily available we are trying to make everything easy for students, even exams. but wehen things come so easily the actual importance of easily available things goes away. Students have to be burdened a bit for their future. they need to know the importance of their subjects and they need to know the depth of these subjects coz when they go to enginnering colleges then watery level knowledge will not help then and they will not be actual enginnerrs but just watery engineers. If excaminations have to be scrapped then lets scrap all the examination like X and XII Boards,Medical Entrance Examinations, CAT, MAT etc etc and replace then with one Aptitude test all all grades.Let them scrap entire future of thse kids and make them temporarily successful but not successful throughout their life.'Competetive Quotient is very important and the child should drill to reach the top. Yes he has to be drilled!!!!
